Fuel Surcharges, Extra Baggage Fees, Courier Fuel Charges, Delivery Fees, etc, etc.
We all see these fees in the papers, on our invoices and on the news. From taxi drivers to florists to airline and delivery companies, surcharges are appearing with more regularity. The fact is they are a reality in today’s economic climate. With unleaded fuel approaching $4 per gallon and diesel close to $5 per gallon the impact on numerous businesses is huge.
Just about everything we do at CoCal requires gasoline – from the crews leaving the yard in trucks with trailers full of equipment to lawnmowers, edger’s, tractors, etc – it all runs on fuel. In addition, tires, irrigation pipe, material delivery fees and dump fees have all increased substantially. We will be implementing fuel surcharges out of necessity; we want to be here next year and in the future to serve you and manage your landscape. When we get relief from the whacky fuel prices, we will remove the fuel surcharges. Thank you for your understanding.
